Product details
The Polish writer Stanislaw Przybyszewsk was one of the leading figures on the Berlin literary scene at the end of the 19th century. The works he created during this period had a great influence on authors such as Richard Dehmel and August Strindberg. The story "De Profundis" also originates from the Berlin creative period. It reflects Przybyszewski's interest in the "enigmatic, mysterious manifestation of the soul with all its accompanying symptoms, fever, vision, so-called psychotic states" and displays numerous characteristics of European decadence literature.
