Dad?...No, don't shoot!

Piotr, who grew up in dire circumstances in Yugoslavia during the seventies and eighties, finds himself fighting on the front lines during the Balkan wars in the early nineties, until he can escape to the West under life-threatening conditions in search of peace. In the rural idyll of Southern Germany, he manages to settle down and meets Svetlana, who hails from the Baltic region, in a swinger club. Soon after, their son Andrej is born. Drugs and alcohol increasingly dominate Piotr's life. The effects of this consumption are dramatic and destructive. Not only does the family relationship break down, but Piotr also loses touch with reality and plans a horrific act that ultimately results in three deaths, including that of his own child. The author transforms a true event into a gripping drama and ultimately finds an answer to the question of "why.".
