The D14HB-R fans are designed not only to look good but also to reliably and quietly provide gaming computers with sufficient cooling air. Cougar relies on cutting-edge technologies, comprehensive features, and attractive aesthetics. The patented fan blade design of the black-transparent blades reduces turbulence and thus the noise level while maintaining high performance. The two-stage profile used, with flow bodies referred to as claws, resembles the wings of modern commercial aircraft. Less turbulence, less resistance, and less noise at the same performance are always desirable in a PC: Cougar fans move more air with lower sound emissions than standard fans.

Additionally, Cougar prevents unwanted noise and vibration, further lowering the overall sound level of the computer: the hydraulic bearing used ensures particularly smooth operation. Unlike ball bearing and simple sliding bearing models, HB fans run extremely quietly throughout their entire lifespan. With the included rubber pins for tool-free installation, the fans are also effectively decoupled from the case. This minimizes the transmission of vibration.
