The PLActive filament from Copper 3D is an innovative 3D printing material based on the PLA plastic family. It is distinguished by its FDA-registered quality and compliance with European standards No. 1935/2004 and No. 2023/2006. PLActive not only offers the advantages of conventional PLA filament but also features a scientifically validated antibacterial effect that eliminates more than 99.99% of fungi, viruses, and bacteria. Notably, it has proven effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2, allowing for a significant reduction in viral load within a short period. This filament is ideal for medical applications where hygiene and safety are of utmost importance, such as postoperative prosthetics and surgical equipment. Manufactured in the Netherlands under strict ISO 9001/2015 standards, PLActive also offers thermoformable properties that enable easy post-processing of 3D printed objects.
