The CESYS USB Isolator disconnects the direct electrical connection between the computer and the connected USB device. All signals of the USB line are galvanically isolated: ground, 5 volts, data lines, and shield. This ensures that the USB isolator provides crystal-clear sound, accurate measurements, and protects the host computer from stray currents and voltage spikes, depending on the application. The most common causes of interference noise, malfunctions due to overvoltage, and inaccurate measurements are thus eliminated. The CESYS USB Isolator is designed like a transformer or optocoupler, behaving almost like a USB cable. No drivers need to be installed, and all operating systems are supported (Mac, Windows, Linux, embedded OS, and others). A power supply is not required, as it is powered via USB.
