Canon XA75

The Canon XA75 Professional UHD 4K camcorder is a compact, lightweight camera with UHD 4K recording, a 1-inch CMOS sensor, two XLR audio inputs and a mini HDMI and BNC 3G SDI output each, which fits neatly into the ENG category of documentary or journalism-style productions.

The lens optics include a built-in 15x HD optical zoom, a nine-blade circular iris diaphragm for more natural highlights and wide DR gamma support for low-light shooting. The camera's professional functions include dual pixel and contrast autofocus, time-lapse and slow motion recording, full manual control, optical and electronic image stabilisation, a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD, user-assignable buttons, infrared mode and a DIG.

The camera records UHD 4K30 and Full HD 1080p60 recorded to two SD card slots in XF-AVC and MP4 formats and outputs to mini-HDMI and 3G-SDI ports. The two SD card slots enable automatic switching from one card to the other and simultaneous recording to both. The camera can output up to 1920 x 1080p 10-bit 4:2:2 video at 59.94 fps via its mini-HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs. On the audio side, the XA75 offers up to four LPCM audio channels with manual/automatic recording levels, two XLR inputs with phantom power and a 3.5mm stereo line input.

OSD recording embeds date, time, time code and other data into your original camera files, effectively "time stamping" the information into each video frame, a requirement for videographers by legal and law enforcement agencies. Stream HD video directly from the camera via UVC1 to a Windows or MacOS computer. Audio output via USB is not supported.

Use the ultra-bright 3.5-inch LCD to adjust focus by touching the desired AF point. Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available, while manual focus is set using the focus/zoom ring. XF-AVC and MP4 for flexible recording Choose between XF-AVC or MP4 recording formats.
