Canon RF-S 7.8mm F4 STM Dual
Canon RF-S, APS-C / DXProduct details
The Canon RF-S 7.8mm F4 STM Dual Lens offers APS-C camera users and tech enthusiasts an easier entry into creating 3D VR content and a new dimension of storytelling.
With this interchangeable lens, users of an APS-C camera can capture stunning 3D videos and photos, which can then be viewed directly on a VR headset or a smartphone with a stereoscopic viewer. Weighing only about 130 g, it is hardly noticeable when attached to the camera.
The 7.8 mm focal length provides a field of view of 63°, which corresponds to that of the human eye—resulting in realistic, naturally appearing 3D images with emotional depth. The design includes 2 UD lenses, ensuring high-quality optics.
The user-friendly STM autofocus guarantees sharp subjects and easy setup for shots, while the high aperture of 1:4 allows for use in a variety of lighting conditions. You can take photos both indoors and outdoors. The best results are achieved with a subject distance between 0.15 m and 0.5 m, making it ideal for close-up storytelling.
Initially, compatibility with the EOS R7 for 4K videos is supported. In the future, compatibility will be expanded to more APS-C cameras, allowing more content creators than ever to explore the exciting 3D space.
