The extension grip does not provide alternative controls for shooting in portrait mode or a separate handle, but is used to customise the compact and lightweight design of the EOS RP when required, making it look like an integral part of the camera. Thanks to the integrated cover for the memory card and battery compartment, it is not necessary to remove the grip to access them. This grip also features a tripod base and a knurled aluminium tripod ring - the style and functionality of the EOS RP camera are in no way compromised by the grip.
