B+W Black and White Filter

As the name suggests, B+W black and white filters are primarily used in black and white photography.

Yellow filters can enhance the brilliance of landscape shots and better differentiate plant greens. Yellow and orange filters transform fluffy clouds into dramatic cloudscapes, while red filters can intensify them to storm-like levels or create moonlight effects during the day.

Tip

With digital cameras that have a black and white mode, contrast enhancements can be achieved directly during the shot.

BASIC Red Dark 630 (091)

Compared to the previously described lighter B+W 090 Red Filter 590, the B+W 091 Red Filter 630 offers an additional enhancement by darkening even the yellow that is close to red in the spectrum, with its transparency only beginning in the orange-red range. It creates dramatic effects and extreme tonal separation for a graphic impact.
