Breakthrough X4 ND 6

Our latest research findings and alternative manufacturing methods provide the most sophisticated ND filters for the discerning landscape photographer. The X4 ND features optical Schott Superwhite B270® glass, an ultra-clear crown glass. It is produced by melting high-purity raw materials and then manufactured using a continuous drawing process. The result is excellent transmission in the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared spectrum, as well as high surface quality, which particularly benefits our state-of-the-art MRC and Nanotec® coatings. Our advanced multi-resistant coating (MRC) is an optical coating applied to both surfaces of the glass plate to reduce reflections and enhance surface durability. Our proprietary MRC coating is structurally harder than the glass itself, and the reduced reflections improve efficiency by minimizing light loss. The reduction of reflections also enhances image contrast by eliminating stray light. The real-world result? Better contrast and color.
