Bondtech Mini Extruder Kit for Wanhao i3. The Bondtech Mini features dual-drive gears that grip the filament from both sides, eliminating slippage or grinding. This upgrade kit is designed for the Wanhao I3 printer. The smaller effective diameter of the drive belt increases torque by about 50%, and the resolution will also improve by up to 50%, as the new E-step value is 140, compared to 96 of the standard extruder. The filament feed is fully guided, making the extruder perfect for both hard and flexible filaments. The drive gear is made of hardened steel to withstand wear from specialty filaments with abrasive additives like carbon fiber and fiberglass. With the quick-release feature, you can easily load and unload the filament. The spring tension is pre-set for the filament. This kit uses the original stepper motor that came with the printer and can be assembled in about 1 hour. A step-by-step guide is included.

The kit consists of the following parts: nylon extruder parts with threaded inserts, hardened steel drive gears, needle bearings, hardened shaft, M3x45 mm screws, aluminum screw. The original metal plate that holds the extruder needs to be modified to make room for the extruder; this can be easily done with a hand saw and a file. The maximum X movement is limited to about 15 mm on the right side. The E-step must be adjusted to 140 steps/mm (using the LCD panel). Weight: 62 g.
