Barix R6

Barix R6 is a relay module that can be mounted on DIN rails for commercial control, power switching, and home automation applications. Using the industry-standard Modbus protocol over 2-wire RS-485, the device can be controlled by any Modbus-capable master. Each relay has three terminals (common, normally closed, and normally open) available on screw terminal blocks, supporting wire sizes from AWG 26 / 0.15 mm² to AWG 14 / 2.5 mm². For connection to other Barix devices, the Barix R6 features two expansion ports on both sides of the device, which transmit power and RS-485 signals (an extension cable is included). Barix R6 supports the Modbus/RTU protocol at speeds of 9,600 and 19,200 baud, with and without parity. Special commands have been added to the Barionet R6 to also support non-Modbus-native control systems. Up to 31 Barix expansion units can be directly connected to a Modbus master like the Barix Barionet, and with the help of standard RS-485 repeaters, this can be expanded to up to 250 devices. The Barix R6 can be controlled both locally via a Basic application (BCL) and remotely via TCP, UDP, Modbus/TCP, and SNMP.
