The AXIS P8221 Network I/O Audio Module equips network video systems with eight configurable input/output ports and audio functions when they lack such support or require additional assistance. The AXIS P8221 is the ideal complement for Axis network video products and can be easily and seamlessly integrated into existing network video installations using VAPIX.

It allows the connection of sensors such as door switches, smoke detectors, infrared detection, or glass break detectors, which are used to trigger an alarm event, as input signals with the AXIS P8221. Output ports can control devices or relays for the automatic opening and closing of doors or turning lights on and off during an alarm. The AXIS P8221 supports two-way audio in half or full duplex. It features a built-in low-power amplifier for small speakers, eliminating the need for an external preamplifier. Additionally, it provides phantom power for balanced microphones.

With Power over Ethernet, the AXIS P8221 can be installed easily, cost-effectively, and reliably.
