Product details
The AT875R is designed for audio recording in video and broadcast productions (ENG/EFP). Audio-Technica's shortest shotgun microphone can be easily mounted on DV camcorders without significantly increasing weight, making it ideal for use with compact digital cameras. This powerful microphone features the narrow pickup angle typical of pressure gradient and condenser designs. It also delivers consistent, natural on-axis sound and excellent rejection of unwanted noise from the rear and sides of the microphone.
Weighing only 80 g and measuring just 175 mm in length, the AT875R is one of the shortest shotgun microphones on the professional market. Made entirely of metal, the microphone's durability allows for versatile use in various environments. As users of camera cranes know well, the weight of the microphone is often crucial for comfortable operation. Equipped with its own shock mount including a threaded adapter, it can be quickly attached to a camera crane. At just 80 g, you might almost forget it's there.
