Atlus Yakuza 7 : Like a Dragon – Day Ichi Edition

In essence, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is an underdog story. The new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, a member of a rather insignificant Yakuza family, has to work hard to make his fortune. He has to pay for a crime he didn't commit in order to protect his patriarch and father figure, Masumi Arakawa. After serving 18 years, he discovers that his former clan has been almost completely crushed. The few remaining members are hunted down in the streets—perhaps his old patriarch is responsible. Ichiban senses that he has been betrayed. He wants to find out the truth—and that's where the story of Yakuza: Like a Dragon begins.

Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking thug from a rather insignificant Yakuza family in Tokyo, is sentenced to 18 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Firm in his beliefs, he serves his time and returns to society only to find that no one is waiting for him in freedom and that his clan has been crushed by his closest confidant. Lonely and confused, he sets out to find the truth behind his family's betrayal, earn his life back, and become an unexpected hero to the city's renegades along the way.
