The ATEN PSD PP v4.0 Secure KVM Switch CS1148D4C has been specifically designed to meet the stringent security requirements of defense and intelligence agencies. It complies with the PSD PP v4.0 standard (Protection Profile for Peripheral Sharing Device, Version 4.0), certified by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP).

The KVM switch provides isolation between computer sources and peripheral devices while allowing a keyboard, mouse, monitor, speaker set, and Common Access Card (CAC) reader to be shared among connected computers with different security classifications. Compliance with PSD PP v4.0 ensures that the sharing of peripheral devices offers the highest level of security for user data when switching the focus of the ports.

Key protective features include isolation and unidirectional data flow, restricted peripheral connection and filtering, as well as user data protection with configurable device filtering.
