Description

The Asus DSL-AC68U delivers a wireless speed above the 802.11ac standard of up to 1,300 Mbps. At the same time, the router provides 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, so the maximum wireless speed has never reached 1,900 Mbps. The dual-band technology of the ASUS DSL-AC68U enables the targeted transmission of content via WLAN, enabling resource-intensive files, such as high-resolution films, to be directed to the 802.11ac 5GHz WLAN band at a speed of 1,300 Mbps.

With powerful, hardware-based Network Address Translation (NAT) acceleration, the WLAN modem router delivers full Gigabit Internet performance, so LAN to WAN throughput at more than 900 Mb/s is up to 4.5 times faster than traditional software-based NAT Gigabit routers. This avoids potential bottlenecks with fast Internet connections.

The dual-core processor also ensures that the router does not have to process USB and network data in one place at the same time. While one processor optimizes wired network connections, the other is responsible for WLAN connections. By allowing wired VDSL/ADSL and WLAN connections to each access their own processor with exclusive computing power, the ASUS DSL-AC68U achieves maximum performance for both connections without compromises.

With the Cloud-Sync function and the optimized cooperation between public and private cloud, ASUS offers an intelligent implementation of a cloud function in the home network. A typical scenario is that the upload speed for DSL/cable connections is so low that access to a USB hard drive on the router via the Internet is very slow. With the Cloud-Sync function, data from a connected USB hard disk can be synchronized to the Public Cloud in the background as required, thus making the data available on the unlimited & secure ASUS Cloud Server with high bandwidth.

ASUS AiRadar also intelligently enhances the radio link to wirelessly connected systems with precise directional signal amplification, providing greater coverage, faster data transfer rates and optimum stability. The signal strength of the WLAN connection varies depending on the environment. This is why the ASUS DSL-AC68U locates the locations of connected devices in the WLAN and aligns data transmission to the clients using three external long-range antennas and universal beamforming technology. The result is extremely fast and stable connections. The universal beamforming technology supports not only 802.11ac but also 802.11a/b/g/n clients.

Um einen Provider-Router zu ersetzen, brauche ich zwingend einen Router mit Modem-funktion oder ist jeder andere Router auch als Ersatz möglich? Ich suche einen der schneller und stärker sendet als der vom Provider. Speziell sollte er unterbrechungsfrei Wilmaa, Zattoo und andere übertragen können auf Tablet und Smartphone. Auch über mehrere ecken und meter. Und mir ist klar dass ich den Support des Providers verliere mit dem einsatz eines anderen Geräts als der der eigenen Provider-Router. Egal.

Good Range, stable, OpenVPN support

Excellent product, higly recomend it even though some features are missing.
I havent try the USB and sharing of a hard disc but I am planning to do within the next months.

nach der installation des Routers, brauche ich den Repeater nicht mehr. habe jetzt im ganzen haus schnelles W-Lan. kann ich nur empfelen.
