The ASUS CPX10 is an extremely economical and compact zero client PC that can be used in Citrix HDX, VMware PCoIP and Microsoft RDP environments. Pre-equipped with a VESA mounting interface, you enjoy maximum freedom in choosing the mounting location, whether on a wall or directly on the back of a monitor. In contrast to conventional desktop PCs or workstations, a Zero Client has a central server that carries the main load of the tasks. Data and applications are only stored and administered centrally on the server. This eliminates the time-consuming maintenance of software on the individual desktop workstations. Due to the fact that only the central servers and not the individual clients need to be protected, security gaps can be closed more effectively. The comparatively long service life of the clients reduces the costs for new PC purchases. You also gain network bandwidth, as only screen contents, keyboard commands and mouse clicks need to be exchanged between client and server. Despite its compact dimensions, the CPX10 provides a good selection of connectivity options: Four USB ports allow connection to peripherals, storage media and authentication solutions (USB tokens). For legacy peripherals, barcode scanners etc. use the COM/serial port. A DVI-D interface serves as video output. A LAN interface with 1000 Mbps standard is used for network connection.
