Product details
The compact device can be mounted using ATX holes or the included Velcro strap. It also features various protective measures to prevent damage to installed hardware. While most USB hubs are installed externally, this board offers the possibility of expanding internal connections. For example, the I/O panel can be powered through one connection. The small board is connected via the included cable to an internal USB 2.0 port and provides seven internal USB 2.0 ports. The USB connector itself or a separate SATA connector powers the board and the individual channels. The board can be secured either with the provided screws to the appropriate ATX holes or with Velcro, where the matching counterpart has an adhesive backing and can be attached practically anywhere in the case. Safety was a top priority in the development of the HUBBY7, which is why the board is equipped with an elaborate power monitoring system. This means that the power consumption of the ports is monitored, and they will be shut down in case of excessive current to prevent damage to connected hardware. Short circuits cannot harm the hub, and in such an event, a notification is immediately sent to Windows to inform the user. In addition to these safety measures, the hub also features thermal monitoring and a shutdown in case of undervoltage.
