APC power distribution units with measurement functionality per outlet optimize energy usage and protect circuits by capturing measurement data at each outlet. Real-time remote monitoring of connected loads is made possible through current measurements. Metered by Outlet Rack PDUs provide data on energy consumption, allowing data center managers to make informed decisions about load distribution and the proper sizing of IT environments, ultimately reducing overall operating costs. The devices feature numerous functions and characteristics: monitoring of active power, connections for temperature and humidity sensors, IEC sockets with locking mechanisms, and ultra-flat circuit breakers. Configuration of the Metered by Outlet Rack PDUs is done via a secure web connection as well as SNMP or Telnet interfaces. APC platforms are available as complementary management solutions for centralized management.
