APC Rack Power Distribution Units (Metered Rack PDUs) optimize energy usage and protect circuits through active measurement data collection.

Users can individually set alarm thresholds; warnings for potential circuit overloads are displayed in real-time on the device and can be transmitted to remote systems.

Metered Rack PDUs provide data on energy consumption, enabling data center managers to make informed decisions about load distribution and proper sizing of IT environments, thereby reducing overall operating costs. The devices feature numerous functions and characteristics: monitoring of active power, connection for temperature/humidity sensors, locking IEC outlets, and ultra-slim circuit breakers.

Configuration of the Metered Rack PDUs is done via a secure web connection or SNMP or Telnet interface. Complementary management solutions include APC platforms for centralized management such as InfraStruxure Central, Operations, Capacity, and Energy Efficiency.
