The batteries have a high capacity while maintaining a low self-discharge rate. This makes them ideal for use in flashlights, toys, model building, game consoles, digital cameras, flash units, and more. With excellent cycle stability, the NiMH cells can be recharged up to 1000 times. The batteries can be charged with a high current, allowing for very short charging times. They are also usable at temperatures ranging from -20 to +50 °C. Since NiMH batteries can be used wherever disposable batteries are utilized, they not only benefit the environment but also save money. The self-discharge rate is ten times lower than that of standard NiMH batteries. After one year, about 80% of the initial capacity is still available. This is made possible by a special separator that drastically reduces unwanted internal current flow. The batteries are delivered pre-charged and are thus ready for immediate use.
