Product details

The Alphacool ES fans have been specifically designed for use in servers and workstations. Unlike typical fans, they do not feature a 2- or 3-pin DC power connection, but instead utilize a 4-pin PWM control. Rather than relying on the usual 2 cables or a 3-pin connection, Alphacool has adopted a modern 4-pin PWM connection for its enterprise fans, which is increasingly supported by server motherboards. Through the 4-pin PWM connection, the fan receives full voltage at all times and is controlled via pulse width modulation. This allows for a significantly wider range of speed control. By regulating the fans in server racks, a substantial amount of energy can be saved. With a 0% PWM signal, the fans can even be completely stopped. The fan also features a soft start, which increases its lifespan and reduces the risk of injury, especially at speeds of several thousand revolutions per minute.
