The BrickRknowledge LED IR Transistor from ALLNET is an innovative component equipped with two integrated LEDs: a red LED for visual monitoring and an infrared LED that operates at around 900 nm, which is invisible to the human eye. However, this infrared LED can be made visible with a camera, facilitating its use in various projects. Both LEDs are protected by current-limiting resistors to prevent excessive current flow. They only light up when the diode is switched in the forward direction, meaning that current flows from the anode to the cathode. To illuminate, the LEDs require a minimum voltage of about 2V in the forward direction, allowing for their use in different electrical circuits.
