The PTC resistor (Positive Temperature Coefficient) changes its value with temperature gradients. This means that, for example, when the temperature rises, the electrical resistance also increases. In German, PTC resistors are also referred to as cold conductors. At room temperature, the resistance value is 10 kOhm. It is well-suited as a temperature sensor in the range of -10 °C to 40 °C, as the change in resistance per change in temperature is very sensitive in this range.
