Ultrasonic rangefinder sensors Maxbotix series LV-EZx. LV-MaxSonar-EZ modules are non-contact, outdoor ultrasonic range sensors that detect objects in a specific area. These sensors are not affected by the color or other visual characteristics of the detected object. Ultrasonic sensors measure the time it takes for emitted ultrasound to reflect off nearby objects and bounce back. Based on this time, the sensor then outputs a distance value.
