The CM-MSS thermistor motor protection relay offers heavy starting, increased switching frequency, high ambient temperature, insufficient cooling, interruption, and asymmetry. The CM series of thermistor motor protection relays is used to control motors with PTC temperature sensors. The PTC temperature sensors are integrated into the motor windings and measure the heating of the motor. This allows for direct control and evaluation of the following operating conditions: main applications include dynamic detection of broken wires, a wide control voltage range of 24–240 V ac/dc, short-circuit monitoring of the sensor circuit, non-volatile fault memory, and remote reset.
