ABB RD2 Residual current relay 230-400VAC 2CSM142120R1201
Product details
Residual current monitors (RCM) with external converters are suitable for detecting fault currents. The fault current sensitivity and response time can be adjusted via mini dip switches. The differential current relays RD2, in conjunction with an external ring core transformer, provide earth fault protection for cables and devices. They are designed for use in single-phase and three-phase networks with higher rated currents. The modular transformer TRM (transformer diameter 29 mm) is designed for snap-on mounting on DIN rails, while the other transformers TR (transformer diameter up to 110 mm) are for screw mounting. When an earth fault current (pulsed current sensitive) occurs, the transformer sends a signal to the differential current relay, which evaluates it and compares it to the set value. If the set value is exceeded, the output relay is activated after the set time, and the red LED lights up. The sensitivity (differential currents) and response time of the relay can be adjusted using mini dip switches. A changeover contact is available as an output. The connection between the relay and the transformer is always monitored. If this connection is interrupted, the relay will switch after the set response time. The "Test" button simulates a differential current. When pressed, the relay switches immediately, regardless of the set response time. The RD2 enters alarm status. The "Reset" button restores the relay to its initial state.
