What is the minimum graphics card required? Can this monitor also be used with 400 to 500 Fr laptop at 4K resolution? I need a monitor for displaying charts
Under the given manufacturer link (http://www.lg.com/de...), under "Notes", there is an exact specification of the system requirements for the graphics card (compare cheaper laptops mostly with this specification: Intel HD4600 and higher, IRIS Graphics 5100 and higher). If this is confusing, simply find the graphics chip in the technical data of the desired laptop and enter this graphics chip in Google and also search for "4k" (e.g. "Intel HD Graphics 520 4k").
Important: With HDMI type A, the version of the laptop output must be at least 1.4 for 4k @ 30 Hz, ideal is from 2.0 (4k @60 Hz). With DisplayPort, 1.2 must be available for 4k @ 60 Hz. This screen has 2x HDMI 2.0 and 1x DP 1.2 (can only be found on the English manufacturer's website: http://www.lg.com/us...).
If you want to use AMD Freesync, you must have an AMD graphics card. I have an nVidia graphics card, then it simply does not recognise the Freesync option. In my opinion, this is moderately important for today's FPS values...
