Recognised immediately by my Synology 712+ & DX 213. Synology hardware control says over 90 minutes backup time (4 x WD Red) on NAS only. When a computer and 2 monitors are also on, the BR900GI provides about 45 minutes of power (max). This is fin for me as I have a auto shut-down set for 10 minutes anyway.
Simulated a power failure by pulling the BR900GI plug: NAS server shuts down gracefully, then powers up automatically when plugged back in. Nice.
Attention: the inlets on the back are C14 plugs, so you will need the appropriate cables or adapters.
In a normal mode this unit is quiet enough for office use. My NAS fan is louder (and it's not loud). Of course, it beeps and make more noise when charging, but this is occasional.
Recommended. Only 4 stars since I have only had it for 2 months... and long-time reliability is worth at least 20% of the rating.
EDIT January 2019. This unit has been running perfectly 24/7 since date of purchase. Highly recommended, upgraded to 5 stars.
