POST Error 605
There is a "feature" built into the bios, that recognizes non-HP batteries. Every time you try to boot the laptop with this battery, a POST Error occurs with a loud "beep" and you have to press ENTER to continue startup.
It works and is still half as expensive as the OEM battery. Unusable in a business environment though, as in our case.
The ERROR reads
"Non-HP battery detected. This may pose health and safety risks.(605)
ENTER - Continue Startup"
The manufacturer of the replacement battery is not at fault. Although, we wouldn't have ordered it, if we had known.
