Good camera but avoid cashback offers from Canon
I found the cashback process unnecessarily and frustratingly complex. Therefore I originally gave 2 stars. As this eventually worked out, I increased the rating to 4 stars, because the camera is really good and I'm very happy with it. But I will never buy anything from Canon again where the price consideration depends on a cashback deal.
Pro
- Excellent specially for video (I use photo little, so can't evaluate this)
- Light and compact size for a camera of this calibre
- Probably the best camera costing under 10k for VR180 (with Canon's RF 5.2 mm fisheye lens)
Contra
- Cashback offering is difficult
Warum bewerten Sie die Kamera schlecht, wenn Canon seinen Service nicht perfekt macht? Das hat doch nichts mit dem Produkt zu tun!!!
I am evaluating this whole purchase: Canon R5C from Digitec with cashback. Another user may prefer to avoid this experience. It would be 500 chf more expensive without the cashbach - in which case I would have chosen differently. I do not consider the service "nicht perfekt" . By now, I consider it poor, including the effort required
and tone of the email exchange in which they say they will consider whether I qualify for a cashback, as if they would be doing me a big favour. I think there is nothing to consider, it is part of the purchase agreement terms. I will consider to improve the rating if and if and when the purchase terms are met.
