The best PC speaker system I’ve ever heard

I’ve been using the Bose Companion 50 for over two years now, and I won’t buy anything new until these are broken beyond repair, because I’ve never heard anything better. Just to clarify: I’m talking about PC speakers, not audiophile speakers for a hi-fi system.

And they’re configured as PC speakers: no Bluetooth connection, no Toslink. The satellite speakers are tilted slightly upwards to provide the ideal sound for the listener sitting in front of the monitor. And that’s exactly what they do.

Personally, after initially running them via a Creative Z sound card, I’ve been using them with an RME D/A converter for quite some time now. And that has really taken the whole thing to the next level. But even with a higher-quality sound card in your computer, I’m sure anyone would be very happy with the Companion 50. The only question is, for how much longer :-) because these aren’t being made any more and are already sold out on the Bose website.

My tip: Buy them if you want exceptionally good stereo sound from your computer. more
