Users' choice: the best cat beds

From a simple woollen blanket to a three-storey cat tree mansion - cat beds are a dime a dozen. Here we go again, the famous agony of choice. I've rummaged through the product range and picked out your favourites.
Cat beds are a science in themselves: the four-legged beast never sleeps where you as a pet owner would like it to. The cardboard box is often more interesting than the sleeping place it contains. Nevertheless, I had a look around our shop to see what you put your pets in... or at least tried to.
When compiling your favourite items, the rating was more important to me than the ranking in the bestseller list. Of course, the latter point also had an influence on the ranking, but above all I paid attention to the positive aspects in the individual review texts.
In addition, I rated the different beds using a very personal system - the so-called "cat fall scale" - which ranges from one to five cats. One cat means that, as a tomcat, I would rather throw myself out of the window than get anywhere near this piece of furniture. At five cats, I would pounce on the thing and - à la Sheldon Cooper - postulate: "This is my place."
1st place: the shark from Zeller Present
The king of the seas gets them all: even if the thought of having to go into the lion's den - or in this case, the mouth of a shark - would keep me awake at night, this cat basket has won you over. The shark keeps you warm in winter, is neatly finished and has a very original design. It is also supposed to be very comfortable. Okay, I wonder if you have tried it out yourselves, Xenghi and Stefenski? The only possible disadvantage: the bed is probably a little too small for larger cats.

Zeller Present has more than earned the gold medal here - this cat bed sets new standards in the industry. Bestseller and undisputed favourite: this is also honoured by me accordingly.

2nd place: the sleeping cave from swisspet
This cat bed has the advantage that your pet can not only snooze comfortably inside, but can also enjoy the view from the soft sun deck when the weather is good. Pure luxury, even for a pet. This product will also impress you with its solid workmanship and great looks. It is also mentioned that the cats immediately felt at home here. This was not always the case with the Zeller Present shark. But here, too, I wonder whether torino1 has tested it himself - how else can he judge whether the cushion is "very soft" for his cat?
I can't judge the workmanship here from the boat and therefore can't rate it. However, I can deduct points for the design, which doesn't appeal to me at all. I also can't imagine that this bedroom is easy to clean.

3rd place: the K-basket from Zeller Present
The bronze award also goes to Zeller Present: with their cat bed, they convinced u.n_haenggi so much that she gave birth to her offspring in the cat basket. How cute is that? That's why the review was given a short but concise title: "practical". And it also got five stars.
I'm impressed by the design and the colour in combination with the material used. Simple, elegant and clearly visible that cats belong in here. One cat less, as I think the entrance is a bit small. If you think that Zeller Present has provided financial assistance for my positive feedback, you're completely wrong! They did their homework, listened to the cat whisperer and delivered.

4th place: the cat cave from Kivikis
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na, Catman... the design of the cat cave from Kivikis reminds me a lot of the beds from Zeller Present and less of the shelter of a superhero on four paws. You and your furry furballs seem to like it. The material, shape and design are just right and there's nothing to criticise. But for the price, you can expect something in return. That's probably why it just didn't make it onto the POD.
One cat less, because the price is too high. And another one for the also relatively small opening.

5th place: the container from Beeztees
The Cube system from Beeztees certainly has its appeal: you can put together as many elements as you like, giving you various options for creating a play and sleeping paradise for your four-legged friends. What's more, the spare parts are easy to replace and reorder. You like the hygiene, the style and also the functionality. The perfect retreat for pets...
Here I have to intervene decisively: The colour? Not at all. The material? Not really cat-suitable or cat-friendly. The design? My pet doesn't want to live in a container. The openings? Too small. One cat remains, nothing more.

6th place: the window sill from Karlie
If your cat wants to become a concierge, this is the perfect gift, says Stefenski. Well, I don't know if that's my kitty's dream job. But okay, it seems to have worked for her. This bed is easy to install by the window, it arouses the cat's curiosity and you have peace of mind while your pet is occupied with the outside world. Disadvantage: The four suction cups are not enough for heavy cats.
I like the idea of the window seat - it kind of reminds me of my school days. What I also like is the fact that the free-hanging structure means that the lying surface must be very soft. What I don't like: The thing doesn't offer any protection or security, it looks a bit cheap and isn't exactly a labour of love for your pet.

7th place: the pink pad from swisspet
This can just about pass as a cat bed, as it provides a place for your pet to sleep. You like it because it is practical, soft and easy to transport. There's nothing more to say here - it's not exactly a revolution in the pet bed segment.
The colours leave a lot to be desired, the item is far too rudimentary, it seems too thin to be comfortable and not worthy of a pet. The only plus point: you can simply throw the blanket in the washing machine.

8th place: the memory foam couch from swisspet
Yep, you read that right: Memory foam is also available for your pet. I'll let it slide in the comments if anyone mentions a soft underlay. Because that's supposed to be the non-plus-ultra when it comes to lying comfortably. Above all, you praised the quality, the workmanship and the fact that it is easy to wash. I find it funny that this bed is called a sofa. A couch for cats and dogs - sounds like a cosy evening.
I like the memory foam story, and the design and materials look great. The size also appeals to me. Minimal deductions are made for the fact that your pet can't completely withdraw with it.

9th place: the hammock from Trixie
I like the idea: you hang it over your radiator and your cat can snuggle up to the warm radiator (at least in winter). Your pet also gets a window seat in summer. This lounger scores points with you for its stability, quality, neutral colour scheme that matches any interior and the fact that it also fits on deeper radiators. [[productlist:6200450]]
But: With underfloor heating, you can throw this thing in the bin. And the second cat goes down the drain, as this thing doesn't provide a roof over the pet's head either.

10th place: the black hole from Trixie
You seem to like the sound of this cat cave with the name "Anton". The problem with this product is that it is too light. If the cat wants to jump into the hole (or leave the bedroom again), the cave moves with the cat. In the worst case scenario, the thing falls so awkwardly that it comes to rest with the opening facing downwards and remains inaccessible for future sleepovers.
I don't like the colour, the design and the materials. The whole thing also looks relatively cheap and difficult to clean. I also think the entrance is too narrow. However, it does offer your pet protection and warmth.
