The Omvi 3i PoE offers you 360-degree surveillance with no blind spots. You don’t need a paid plan for advanced AI functions and backups.

With the Omvi 3i, Reolink is launching a new security camera that combines a fixed 180-degree panoramic view with flexible 360-degree detailed coverage. This is made possible by three separate lenses. Further advantages include local data storage and AI processing: This saves you the cost of an additional plan.

The PoE version of the Omvi 3i (Power-over-Ethernet) is now available from us: it requires a single cable that supplies power and connects it to your network at the same time.

Three lenses provide a comprehensive view

Two side-mounted 10-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lenses continuously monitor the 180-degree field of view.

If people, cars or animals are moving in that area, the PT camera on the underside of the device comes into play. PT stands for Pan and Tilt, i.e. horizontal panning and vertical tilting. This mobility allows the camera to automatically track targets. Thanks to 4K resolution, the PT camera can precisely crop the frame to focus on the subject.

This means there are no blind spots during tracking, and you can view the entire area and the tracked footage side by side.

Tracking of detected subjects happens automatically. You can also tap directly on an area in the live view to make the PT camera zoom in on it. Furthermore, you can preset up to 64 positions for the PT camera in the app and access them via quick access. You can also define up to four positions as patrol areas, between which the camera switches automatically. Alternatively, you can have the PT camera move slowly in a circle.

Local AI processing and data storage

Unlike many other security cameras, you do not need a paid plan for AI and recording storage. According to the manufacturer, the AI processing takes place directly on the device. Monitoring continues to function even if the internet connection is lost.

Recordings can be saved to a microSD card, via FTP or on a NAS, amongst other options. You can optionally take out a plan for additional cloud functions.

The AI is said to be advanced enough not to be fooled by moving shadows or plants swaying in the wind. This reduces false alarms. In the app, you can search the recorded footage for specific terms, such as people wearing blue tops. This helps you find relevant clips more quickly.

Within the software, you can define various zones and boundaries, as well as schedules. This allows, for example, an alarm to be triggered if unauthorised persons cross a virtual line or remain in a specific area for an extended period.

If the camera detects an intruder at night, it illuminates them specifically. You decide whether a siren should also sound. In the dark, the Omvi 3i PoE offers both black-and-white infrared night vision and, thanks to its spotlight, colour vision.

Weatherproof and suitable for many purposes

Thanks to its IP66 certification, the Omvi 3i PoE is protected against water and dust. According to the manufacturer, neither snow and ice nor blazing sunshine can affect it. The camera supports ceiling, wall and corner mounting, so you can find a suitable installation location. Thanks to two-way audio, it can also be used as an intercom.

A time-lapse function helps you get a quick overview – or watch the plants in your garden as they grow. The camera is compatible with Google Assistant.
