Now available for pre-order: single-player sci-fi action game "Saros" for the PS5
"Saros" is an action game with a roguelite structure. After each death, a new run begins on a changed world, and you grow with each run.
You own a Playstation 5 and have the feeling that you've been missing a game that really challenges you. Then you should mark 30 April in your calendar. On this day, «Saros», the new action game from Housemarque, will be released exclusively for the Playstation 5. You can pre-order it from us now.

The Finnish studio has been active for over thirty years. Their best-known work in recent years is «Returnal», a third-person shooter with roguelike elements, which was also released on the PS5 in 2021. With «Saros», Housemarque is continuing to develop the mechanics and narrative of «Returnal» within a new own brand.
A planet that changes after every death
The game puts you in the role of Arjun Devraj, a Soltari enforcer investigating a lost outpost colony on the planet Carcosa. The character is played by Rahul Kohli, known from series such as «iZombie», «Midnight Mass» and «The Fall of the House of Usher».
Carcosa is a hostile alien planet whose state is characterised by the influence of the eclipse. Between runs, environments, enemies and dangers change without the world completely reshaping itself each time. If you die, a new run begins, but not from scratch. Collected resources and certain upgrades are retained and influence the next attempt. This is the core principle: failure as progress.
Shield, absorption, counterattack
The combat system works on several levels simultaneously. Arjun is equipped with the so-called Soltari Shield. This is a defensive tool that blocks attacks and absorbs the energy of incoming projectiles. This energy can transform his right arm into so-called Carcosan power weapons and then be discharged against opponents. There are also human Soltari weapons such as hand cannons, rifles and shotguns.
According to the manufacturer, the game is designed to reward aggression. Sometimes the smartest strategy is to rush into danger instead of avoiding it. Just when you want to build up energy for the next attack.
Between madness and trust
«Saros» doesn't just tell its story through cutscenes. Between runs, you return to «The Passage», the central hub of the game. There you will meet other characters and discover their stories through conversations, holograms and audio logs.
But the eclipse doesn't just affect the environment. It also influences the characters' perception, behaviour and mood. «Saros» uses this uncertainty as a narrative motif, adding a psychological layer to the plot that goes beyond the pure game mechanics.
My interests are varied, I just like to enjoy life. Always on the lookout for news about darts, gaming, films and series.
