Kassensturz tested bicycle bags: three of them were rated «very good»
Swiss consumer magazine Kassensturz tested eight everyday bike bags for durability, waterproofness and overall handling. Three models passed the test with flying colours.
Switzerland is a bicycle country. Last year, more than half a million new bikes went on sale, more than ever before. Kassensturz (article in German) tested bicycle bags by eight manufacturers for their everyday practicality. The verdict: half of them were rated good to very good.
«Very good» for roughly 70 francs
Scoring top results in all three areas and therefore receiving the overall rating of «very good» was «Urban Dry Business» by Basil. Priced at just over 70 francs, it’s the most affordable of the three test winners.
«Unsatisfactory» for just under 20 francs
The cheapest bag in the test ranked lowest. The testers criticised the comfort while wearing and the lack of adjustment options for mounting the bag. Besides, it ripped during the durability test.
