Just in: Safes from Paladin
Two concepts, one goal: protection against unauthorised access. Paladin adds two safes to the shop: one for rifles, one for pistols and valuables.
Whoever owns weapons bears responsibility. Safe storage is not a nice-to-have, but an obligation, regulated in Switzerland in Art. 26 of the Weapons Act. This is not about aesthetics or convenience, but about control, access restriction and legal compliance. Paladin offers two new solutions for this. The Guardian long gun safe and the Shield furniture safe. The latter is designed as a compact safe for valuables and can also hold handguns.
Guardian long gun cabinet
The Guardian is a free-standing long gun safe for up to ten rifles and eight handguns. It is designed for a fixed location and is anchored to the floor or wall.

The body and door are made of solid, multi-walled steel. They are locked using four steel bolts that engage simultaneously. The hinges are on the inside and cannot be accessed from the outside. This is intended to reduce mechanical weak points.
The lock combines a fingerprint scanner, PIN code and a mechanical emergency key. Up to 20 fingerprints can be stored. According to the manufacturer, the lock can be opened in less than a second. An electronic locking mode is activated in the event of tampering attempts.
In the interior, long guns are stored upright and individually secured. Padded panelling is designed to protect surfaces and optics. Pistols, ammunition and accessories are stored separately. The interior layout is modular and can be customised to accommodate magazines, optics or cleaning accessories. The interior also has LED lighting.
The Guardian measures 140 × 46 × 38 centimetres and has a volume of around 148 litres. It is fire-resistant for up to 40 minutes at 649 degrees Celsius. (Why not 650 degrees? No idea, must be some kind of special fire resistance standard ...)
Furniture safe Shield
The Shield is a compact furniture safe for concealed installation. It fits into cupboards or chests of drawers and remains invisible from the outside. The housing is made of steel, the door is single-walled and secured with a double bolt lock. The hinges are concealed and cannot be accessed from the outside.
Access is via an electronic combination lock with illuminated keypad. A silent mode enables opening without beeping. Two alternatives are available for emergencies: an additional mechanical key and an external power supply if the internal battery fails.
According to the manufacturer, the interior of the safe is deliberately kept simple. The floor is carpeted to protect sensitive surfaces. The available space is suitable for handguns, documents, cash or jewellery.
The Shield measures 31 × 20 × 14 centimetres and has a volume of 8.5 litres. With a weight of around 5.5 kilograms, the safe is designed to be installed and firmly screwed into furniture so that criminals cannot simply carry it away. Mounting holes as well as screws and plugs are included.
