Digitec Playground Cup Vol. 10: We play chess

We are unpacking the chessboard for the tenth Digitec Playground Cup. Registrations for the tournament are now open.
Chess will be played for the first time at the Digitec Playground Cup Vol. 10. Registration for the tournament is now open. You can find all the information about the event in this article. You can also reach us on the Digitec Discord server and get answers to your questions about the cup.
Why chess?
In the previous Digitec Playground Cups, raced, built and shot. For the tenth edition, we unpack one of the oldest competitive games - chess.
Chess has become increasingly popular in recent years - including in the gaming and e-sports scene. On Twitch, thousands of viewers watch others play chess every month. The online chess platform Chess.com recently announced that it had crossed the 100 million active user brand. In the last vote for the Digitec Playground Cup Vol. 9, the board game was ranked highly - but it wasn't quite enough for first place.

The qualifiers will be played on the online platform Chess.com. You can create an account for free. Seeding in the Pro and Grümpi tournaments is automatic.
