Copper instead of silver gives gold for Rohner socks

A Swiss sock with copper wins gold at ISPO. Between fancy winter clothing and the latest ski technology, the "Copper Jet" model from Rohner wins an ISPO Award.
This sock has it all. To be precise, it has copper in it. The "Copper Jet" model from Swiss company Rohner advanced socks was developed for winter sports. Rohner has used a new type of copper-based yarn in these ski socks instead of the usual silver components, as CEO Hermann Lion explains in an interview. This yarn is said to have an antibacterial and anti-fungal effect. And also inhibits the formation of odours.
The ISPO has now honoured this sock with a Gold Award in the Snowsports category.
