"Battlefield 1" is out this autumn and here’s the jaw-dropping trailer

So the rumours were true: The latest “Battlefield” bears the number 1 and is set in World War One – an uncharted gaming battlefield that developer Dice is treading on.
I’ll admit I’m on team “Battlefield”. Although I did enjoy “Call of Duty”, it never warmed the cockles of my heart the way blowing up houses with a great big tank did. And I don’t seem to be alone in this opinion if the 1.2 million dislikes vs. 250’000 likes on Youtube for “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” are anything to go by. Hey, but this is not about bashing but all about gloating over the first trailer for “Battlefield 1”. And it really is quite something. We’re back in the past and the time period between 1914 and 1918. WWI is raging. The trailer shows flamethrowers, mustard gas, the Red Baron and even a zeppelin.
Brace yourselves for 21. October.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
