The brand name Trifoglio, Italian for the trifoliate clover, draws its inspiration from this little gem of nature. The down-to-earth richness of the plant attests to the simplicity of nature – it gives basic life force and nourishment when its leaves open out to catch the dazzle of light.
Radio City was created for the Trifoglio collection, its design perfected in 2015. It was at a boutique in Via Frattina, a stylish street at the base of the Spanish Steps, in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy, where a little vintage 30s radio was spotted at a window display. It was a friendly juxtaposition between this little vintage radio and the collection of contemporary apparel around it. The radio quietly and confidently embodied a moment recalled, an experience recounted, a time where great memories were developed. The broadcasts that this antique equipment had once made may be past,
but the radio itself was something real and enduring. The creators of Trifoglio knew that their design rested on a simple proposition - to create
a timepiece of honest, enduring appeal that also reflects the sophisticated pleasures of today. The Radio City Watch was hence conceptualized.
