QD OLED: Samsung in the fast lane

Since being established in 1969 in Suwon, South Korea, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has grown into one of the world’s leading technology companies. Today, this global network includes 286,000 people in over 200 subsidiaries around the globe and generates annual sales of USD 216 billion.
The company’s portfolio includes home appliances (such as refrigerators and washing machines) as well as consumer electronics (e.g. TVs and Blu-ray players), mobile telecommunications (e.g. smartphones and tablets) and information technology (e.g. monitors and printers). Furthermore, Samsung Electronics is a supplier of electronic components including memory chips and non-memory semiconductors.
