In 1954 Friedrich Koenig, a pioneer from Zurich-Schwamendingen, invented the electric grill for the household. People lovingly called him "The Grill King."
Frederick lived up to his name. Over the years, he gradually expanded his product range in a targeted and quality-oriented manner. For example, he introduced coffee machines, deep fryers, raclette ovens and the first baking grill with hot air.
In 1983 Koenig became part of Diethelm Keller Brands (DKB) and forms the Grill Competence Centre within DKB.
