Frederica began as a Danish design house "Fredericia Stolefabrik" in 1911, founded by entrepreneur NP Ravnsø. He successfully ran the company until his death in 1936. The goal from the beginning was to make the company known for the high standard of quality. The Ravnsø family owned and operated Fredericia Stolefabrik until 1955. Simple principles now guide the company, outstanding quality and careful selection of materials, functionality and attention to detail. Also, work is done hand in hand with international designers - all with the ambition to create contemporary design that is beautifully finished and aesthetically fascinating.
