Beavertown
Beavertown is one of the many breweries that has its roots in home brewing. In 2011, Logan Plant, son of rock legend Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), decided he no longer wanted to just tinker in his own kitchen and opened a brewpub in a popular London BBQ restaurant. While the first creations were planned primarily as beer accompaniments to hearty meat dishes, his project quickly outgrew the small space and he moved into his own brewery in Tottenham. After his beers hit like a bomb, Logan decided to take a bold step in 2014: from now on, all beers were bottled only in cans. The can, in simple terms a small barrel, offers various advantages over the bottle, such as impermeability to light. Meanwhile, Beavertown's beers are among the most popular on the island. All are brewed incredibly high quality and taste first cream.
A modern classic is now Gamma Ray, a Pale Ale brewed to perfection, bursting with fruity hop aromas and perfectly balanced. But Beavertown wouldn't be Beavertown if they didn't experiment, too. With the Tempus program, the Londoners play with their creativity and fill various beers into wooden barrels and let it mature in them. The resulting creations make a beer nerd's heart beat faster.
