Schnelle Karte
Die Karte hält was sie verspricht. Sie ist wirklich extrem schnell.
Gespielt wird in der Auflösung 3840 x 1600 (38" LG Monitor) - also etwas mehr als WQHD aber weniger als 4K.
Cyberpunk 2077 läuft auf max settings bei Raytracing Ultra & DLSS ausgeglichen fast durchweg mit mind. 60 FPS.
Gestern noch DOOM Eternal mit dem Raytracing update getestet. Alle Einstellung auf MAX und ohne DLSS nie weniger als 100 FPS gehabt - der Wahnsinn.
Der Wahnsinn ist aber auch die Lautstärke sowie die Hitzeentwicklung der Karte. Die Lautstärke ist immer subjektiv für mich aber definitiv zu laut. Da war ich mir bei der 1080 FTW3 und 3080 XC3 Ultra besseres gewohnt.
Selbiges gilt auch bei der Wärme. Die Karte wird unter Last bei 100% Powertarget 83°C heiss, trotz Meshify 2 XL Gehäuse, 3 140mm Lüfter in Front und Deckel, plus noch 1er am Heck.
Klar ganz verwunderlich ist das ja nicht bei 400W (bis max 450Watt einstellbar) verbrauch. Trotzdem ein wenig enttäuschend ist es schon. Eventuell werde ich mich ans undervolting ranmachen. Umbau auf Wakü eher nicht.
Die Karte wurde beim Käsekönig in DE zu einem Preis von ca. 1400 € gekauft. (excl. CH MWST)
Das habe ich aber auch nur gemacht weil ich meine 3080 für das doppelte wiederverkaufen konnte, was ich ursprünglich bezahlt habe.

Ich hab es nun doch getan und die Karte auf Wasserkühlung umgebaut. Das Ergebniss lässt sich durchaus sehen :) und das bei einer deutlich reduzuierten Geräuschkulisse. Für mich perfekt. Im Anhang ein Bild der Temperaturen nach 1h Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition alles auf max @ 3840 x 1600. Die Karte ist einfach mal ~30°C Kühler als mit dem Luftkühler.
Grafikkarte habe ich noch Übertacktet: Memory: +700Mhz, GPU +125Mhz, Powertarget @ 103%

when you say too hot... how many degrees? During gaming? Temperature at hotspot? Can you be more precise please?
GPU temperature during gaming is 83°C. In combination with the loudness of the fans - for me its too loud and too hot.
Im not 100% sure but memory hot spot is somewhere bettween 88°C - 92°C. Cant check it now because im not at home.
May I have a potatoe chip. If i check youtube the most of them runs at 78°C.Everything around 80°C is pretty normal for 3000 Series GPUs with an Aircooler. If you're looking for lower temperatures you would have to go Watercooled or try undervolting the GPU.

These cards work with very high wattage, so high temperatures are a common issue... especially when the thermal paste and thermal pads are lower quality (cheap)... especially for 3090 series, temperatures at the hotspot (gpu-z monitoring) can go up to 110C. The memory chips at the back of the card don't get enough cooling.. If you wanna try some mild undervolting, google it, it may help.. you won't loose fps and you'll get lower temps.. otherwise, repasting of the gpu core and pads for the memory chips.. :)
@Funbreak high temps means throttling.. to lower the temps, you spin the fans higher, so you get more noise.. too much actually... that's why most card don't clock high.. not because of lack of good coolers, but they prefer more silent solutions...
