I grew up playing carom and remember that sometimes we used to play it whole night during summer vacations. I feel bad that such a poor quality caroms are built. Even the small shops in villages make better carom in India so if it's imported from India, time to change your supplier or make them aware of the following:
1. Striker should be bit heavy, bigger than coins and smooth. The one supplied failed in all 3 parameters. Aiming with striker therefore is not good.
2. Surface of carom is okay but bit too rough than it should actually be. In such case the carom powder supplied should be smooth. I remember we used to buy disco powder which used to make surface smooth and coins used to dance on the surface.
3.Wood on the sides are not giving good rebound. Shitty striker is adding insult to injury.
4. Coins are also not of good quality.
5. Even if many aspects are not good, supplying good carom powder is very important. I don't know what kind of powder is this. It didn't help.
Overall, if you really want to enjoy carom board, this is not at all good one. …mehr
