About few hundred (maybe 300-500) units are expected to arrive.

If there are already 600+ orders in queue, and you are behind it. Well, then you won't get it.
But I think you will get one. Because a lot of people cancelled orders and went to BRACK.

Until this morning, I was about to receive between 3rd and 5th of December. And my order was made early at the afternoon. Now it says late December. Is this a joke? It's the second time I order a Ryzen 5000 and i'm afraid I won't manage to get one. I'm sure I am one of the first who made an order. I am wondering why they're playing with the dates.. big frustration.. we're not talking about mouse pads and keyboards, it's a key component of a system, though it's actually "important" for someone if he's gonna get one.

Which one 5900x?
Because I only ordered 5900x 2 weeks ago. ETA is still 5th December.

My 5800x order on release date at first minute, still mid December.

I ordered one today at around 11.00 and now the delivery date changed from 2 days to "keine Angaben verfügbar" which means there's no further information. Maybe they don't know the exact amount they will get and my order is a close one...

Selling something by promising a specific delivery date (in 2-3 days) and then changing it, is unethical. Maybe it's a common practice but I didn't expect it from digitec. I ordered one yesterday very early.

True but common as I can see at other online stores. If your status says late December then I won't get mine this week for sure.

Wow you guys are right the delivery date changed now. It's really unethical to promise 2-5 days and then change it to a month. I will see if my status changes in the next few days and if not I will cancel. I am not giving anyone 550chf of my money to "look after" for 3-4 weeks. All of this pre-order stuff is just BS.

"Dear Mr xxx
We are contacting you regarding your Order xxxXXXxxx,
We are sorry to inform you that the scheduled delivery date has been delayed.
We strive to provide you with precise delivery dates whenever possible. Nonetheless, unexpected delays may occur. In your case, the following modifications were made:
- 1 x AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (AM4, 3.70GHz, 12-Core) original date: 30.11.2020.
- The updated estimated delivery date: approx. late December
Since this information comes from a third party we are not able to guarantee the accuracy.
We are aware that a postponement can cause great inconvenience.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

This is frustrating... heart breaking.. and driving me crazy! And I don't care about money. Personally I learnt my lesson the first time I ordered a Ryzen 5000 and I was gonna pay at the shop, while retrieving it. But here we're talking about lack of diligence/consistency and respect to the customers. :(

Stay patient? It's crazy to give a company your money for 2+ months. Better to just be patient and wait until they come in stock and you can order one and get it a few days later.
