We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Platform Teamlead. Our team consists of qualified professionals with a great attitude, and we are seeking an individual who brings the same level of passion and drive to their work. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and at least 5 years of experience as Data Engineer or Data Platform Engineer alongside excellent leadership skills.

Deine Aufgaben

Lead a team of data devops professionals focused on developing our data platform
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to promote professional and individual growth and development
Together with the product owner and the team, you focus on ensuring the greatest possible benefit for our customers and our employees
Design, develop, and operate scalable data platform solutions that support our growing data needs.
Optimize and tune data platform for performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and ensure data accessibility and quality
Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive information

Deine Fähigkeiten

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data focused area or a related field
Proficiency in Python and experience leading teams
DevOps skills, including experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment tools (e.g., Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Experience in designing and building large-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Airflow), and cloud technologies (ideally GCP)
Familiarity with data warehouse solutions (preferably BigQuery) and ETL/ELT processes & tools
Knowledge of stream processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink) is a plus
Familiarity with data governance and compliance practices is a plus
Demonstrating the courage to take risks and act on convictions under uncertainty
Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in English and German
